After an onboarding interview, I was provided a lot of flexibility and space to do the project at my pace. The team communicated consistently via email and helped to clarify any questions I ran into. Project was doable in the allotted time.

The project has allowed me to complete the internship portion required for my degree. The employer and project manager were great in providing resources for me to begin, as well as communicating what was needed for the rest of the project. They were also prompt in answering any questions I had along the way.

Working with this company was very eye-opening. I learned many different topics at the end of this project. Going into the project, I didn't know anything, now going out of the project, I now have knowledge of this topic.

The company was very informative about policy and their mission. They are very dedicated to making a change revolving around drug policies and substance health care. Atika is very kind and knowledgeable about the field. She provided a comprehensive list of sources and references for my team to use in our reports and expand upon. She also, met with us several times to expand out knowledge on the project and set us in the right direction with our research. Another benefit was that Atika connected us with a drug user that we could interview and include in our report. However, responses from the organization about the project and planning were delayed. Nevertheless, the company is promoting positive change in the drug policy world that will have lasting effects.

I have learned so much during this project regarding Opiod Use Disorder and ideas and beliefs surrounding the toxic drug crisis. I have also been more enlightened in how far behind the United States is in helping to combat this crisis. How we are in fact making it worse. So the education portion of this project has been phenomenal. The employers provided thorough and understandble educational materials, however I struggled the entire 4 weeks with the inability for my group to manage to connect therefor making it difficult sometimes to understand exactly what my part was in this project. Even so- I am super grateful for the opportunity. This has helped me to understand where I need to be more of a leader and what my epectations are for group projects moving forward
