Jo Lynne has over 30 years of professional expertise in leadership development and organizational management, serving on executive teams and managing high-performance teams. Her experience includes areas of public works, resource management, human resources, community outreach, and governmental affairs. Her professional interest focuses on organizational culture, strategic leadership, and communications. She is a SHRM-Senior Certified Professional and a Certified Facilitator for Everything DiSC Workplace. Jo Lynne has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara in political science and sociology and received her Master of Arts degree in public policy and administration from Columbia University in New York City. She was selected as a recipient of the Alfred P. Sloan Fellowship Program where she completed coursework in public policy at the University of Washington, Seattle and Harvard University, Cambridge.

Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on learners from UCR Riverside to be your learner-consultants, in a project-based experience. Learners will work on one main project over the experience of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Learners in this program/experience will: Demonstrate an understanding of human resources responsibilities and procedures. Know and apply the elements of the human resource functions (e.g. – recruitment, selection, training, and development, etc.) and be familiar with each element’s key concepts; terminology Identify and explain the role that the Human Resource profession plays in developing and administering the strategic business plan of an organization. Identify and describe how labor laws, best practices in employment, and employment policies impact the management of employees in today’s business environment. Demonstrate analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills in addressing Human Resource problems.
Performance Appraisal and Evaluation

Would you like gain a better understanding of the levers to push the performance of your employees and your organization. Student-consultants will conduct an in-depth investigation of your employee appraisal and evaluation program as a tool of development and motivation. Topics include traditional methods of employee evaluation, their values and limitations, considerations and difficulties in measuring performance and productivity, management by objectives as a technique for evaluating and measuring results of individual as well as group performance. Upon completion of the project, you will receive a detailed report and presentation.
