Details

Our students have the skills to build native applications for mobile devices, as well as cross-platform web applications. They have used a variety of technologies and programming languages and have the skills to develop and design mobile applications using Java, Swift, PHP, HTML, CSS, and SQL.

We are looking to create a first-time mentorship opportunity for our students by pairing them with a skilled mobile application developer at your company who can mentor and support our students through a small project.

Deliverables

The final project deliverables will include: 

  1. A small mobile application.
  2. A report outlining the problems faced and solutions used.
  3. A final presentation.
Project Examples

A student team will research and analyze your software challenges. Through systematic research and evaluation, they will provide a solution to your issue that adheres to your needs, goals, and constraints.   

Project examples include, but are not limited to simple application development:

  • Android development using Java.
  • iOS development using Swift.
  • Web design using PHP, HTML, and CSS.
  • Database Design using SQL.
  • Project management.
  • Database design.
  • Software testing.
Additional company criteria

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

Provide a brief evaluation of the student.

Be available for a quick phone call with the instructor to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the course.

Provide a skilled mobile application developer at your company who can mentor and support our students through a small project.

Provide a dedicated contact who is available to answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address students' questions.
