Sisa energy is an innovative energy auditing company with a mission to help reduce greenhouse gases produced by buildings. Our company would like to explore software development and open source support for a new product. In advance of any product build, our company spends a good amount of time researching potential technologies, architectures, and how they will fit together to fit our customer’s needs. For this project, we are planning to add new features to our product to better answer our customer’s needs, and we would love to use new talented individuals to help us devise these features. Squash.io is a DevOps platform that allows software developers to quickly deploy their web apps for testing purposes. We currently have many companies in our platform, including names like NASA, Wagtail and New York Public Radio. We would like to collaborate with students to create blog posts that drive more traffic to our website. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Familiarizing themselves with our goals, target market, products and services. Recommending topics for our blog posts. The blog posts are not going to be technical (i.e, you do not need any knowledge of software development). Our goal is to create blog posts containing statistics or trends related to technology in general. We will provide all the tools you need to do your own research. We would like to collaborate with students to conduct accessibility tests on our website with pre-identified customers. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Conducting background research on disabilities and methods of evaluating accessibility. Reaching out to customers and scheduling interviews. Familiarizing themselves with the test tasks that should be administered. Conducting accessibility tests remotely and following up with customers to thank them for their participation. Analyzing and reporting the metrics / results of the tests.
