Learners
1. Understanding Cyber Threats and Security Controls: Characterizing privacy, legal, and ethical issues of information security, identifying vulnerabilities critical to an organization's information assets, and defining security controls to provide the required level of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
2. Diagnosing and Investigating Cybersecurity Events: Diagnosing attacks on computer systems and networks, proposing solutions, and applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills to detect current and future attacks.
3. Effective Communication: Communicating orally and in writing about information security solutions to technical and non-technical decision-makers, and applying business principles to analyze and interpret data for planning and problem-solving in an information security environment.
4. Applying Security Principles: Applying mathematical foundations, algorithmic principles, cryptography, and computing theory in the modeling and design of security solutions, as well as applying design and development principles in the construction of secure software systems.
Some or all of those outcomes would be great for the students.
Project Examples
Requirements
Hands on projects that provide students to cyber security. These students have two internship and any experience would be useful
