The Sustainable Apparel Coalition is the apparel, footwear, and textile industry’s leading alliance for sustainable production. The Coalition develops the Higg Index, a standardized value chain measurement suite of tools for all industry participants.

These tools measure environmental and social labor impacts across the value chain. With this data, the industry can address inefficiencies, improve sustainability performance, and achieve the environmental and social transparency consumers are demanding. By joining forces in a Coalition, we can address the urgent, systemic challenges that are impossible to change alone.

Tableau Dashboards & Data Insights 1

The proposed project involves developing interactive Tableau dashboards, graphics, and artwork to visualize and communicate insights from the Higg Facility Environmental Module (Higg FEM). The student(s) will: Develop interactive Tableau dashboards that display data visualizations and insights to show Higg FEM performance, hotspots, and opportunities to better drive performance improvement. Develop an engaging data narrative that tells a story for broad audiences. Develop interactive data visualizations that allow the user to click into each area to learn more. Create graphics and artwork to communicate the data insights to broad audiences on a variety of platforms. The SAC will provide the Higg FEM dataset and examples of how the data was presented in the past.
