This was a great opportunity to learn how to provide logistical support and mentorship to members of different disciplines. Writing insider reports and learning to analyze data by pulling critical ideas in order to create transparent findings has set me up for future research and careers after graduation.

The experience of this project was all encompassing; it furthered my skillset for project management and time management, and ultimately made me a better student.

This has been an amazing opportunity to develop my research skills. I have enjoyed the whole process from my employers.

An amazing experience. Being new to an undergraduate research position, I really appreciated all of the guidance, from background resources and conversations on literature reviews/ critical race theory to regular meetings to make sure everything was on track.

Everyone was super helpful. From my mentor, to the administration, all my questions were answered, and I was never confused. The project was enjoyable, Riipen was easy to use, and my experience was improved by all the people involved.

As I have worked with these employers before, my experience with them has been nothing but a welcoming and accepting environment. I always find myself learning new skills and polishing old ones while working under Dr. Ferguson, something that I have found to really enjoy. She is always giving us updates and works hard to make us feel comfortable with the work we do, as it can be difficult to view the nasty sides of outward research when it can emotionally disheartening. Otherwise, she listens to us and always encourages us to speak our minds and provide as much as we can and want to to help make this project as great as can be. Dr. Ferguson is a wonderful professor and employer, overall I always recommend her as a teacher or mentor!
