Saboré is a new brand Mexican-inspired foods with a healthy twist. The brand will capitalize on the growing demand for international cuisine in Canada (fueled by immigration), on the expanding wellness market, and on upcoming food labelling regulations highlighting the nutritional content of packaged foods.


The brand will start with a portfolio of dipping salsas, and the goal of the project is to create a recommendation of growth avenues defining where the largest opportunities are across packaged food categories.


Key tasks include:


- Conducting online market research & competitive benchmark across US & Canada

- Developing a growth strategy for the brand: what are the right categories to expand after salsas?, what is the size of the opportunity? what types of products should Tasty Tierra launch within the recommended categories? what are the key product elements that are needed to be differentiated in such categories?

- Supporting with the online presence of the brand (social media posts, website, awareness tactics)



Deliverables

The project will result in the following deliverables:


- Awareness Tactics (social media, website, etc). Depending on students skills


- A comprehensive market research report identifying key trends and consumer preferences including health trends


- A growth strategy highlighting which categories were considered for growth, and this categories are recommended. The growth strategy should answer the following questions: what are the right categories to expand after salsas?, what is the size of the opportunity? what types of products should Tasty Tierra launch within the recommended categories? what are the key product elements that are needed to be differentiated in such categories?
