Details

BizBridge has been building an AI-powered platform to span history's greatest transfer of ownership and wealth. With over 70% of boomer-owned businesses needing a new owner in the next 10 years, we're supporting their exit journey and matching them with good-fit buyers to continue their business and make it their own. We consider ourselves "a movement wrapped in technology", seeking to support new generations of ownership. It's far easier to buy an existing, cashflowing business than it is to start one, after all!

We have currently built the core functionality of our products, supporting sellers, buyers, and professional services providers who support the selling/buying journey. We are seeking the support of a front-end developer to help improve the UX/UI of our product, and potentially seek long-term growth with the business. We have content and a product - we need the polish and the eye to join our dynamic team of builders, investors, legal, and M&A experts.

Deliverables

We're looking for A-players to work with our dynamic team of experienced founders in AI, Web3 and from venture capital. You will work directly with our CTO, Winston Edwards.

Key Activities

  • Developing new user-facing features using React, TypeScript
  • Building Boilerplate and Starter for latest Next.js with App Router and Page Router support
  • Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
  • Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code
  • Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
  • Help support history's greatest transfer of ownership!
Mentorship

We have had interns (we call them "Coordinators" - as we give them responsibility) in the past who have thoroughly enjoyed the experience and learned a lot. We invest heavily in our Coordinators by teaching them the industry, the problem, and the product - no matter what function you are. We work hybrid and weekly team meetings, so those in the GTA can meet at our offices at the Schwartz Reisman Institute at the University of Toronto (same location as the Vector Institute, Canada's leading AI lab).

You will get to work directly with the executive team and other engineers on the team. You will have acces to various tools and experiment with different technologies (especially AI, and shortly, blockchain-based wallets). You will be opening up new frontiers with the team, and we're very excited to learn and share together.

Upon completion of a term (to be agreed), A-level performance, and good fit with the team, we will evaluate a paid hiring position.
