Project scope
What is the main goal for this project?

Our organization is committed to serving our target population. We are currently collaborating with overseas players and updating our workshop content keeping in mind the Canadian context.

We would like to collaborate with students to plan a series of workshops to help meet our goals, starting in February on key STEM topics such as robotics and space systems.

The workshops will be focused on post-secondary students.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

  • Familiarizing themselves with our mission, values and goals.
  • Estimating and establishing the budget of the workshop.
  • Creating a plan of action and a detailed breakdown of tasks for volunteers to complete at the event.
  • Review the format and duration of the workshop and suggest any changes
  • Assisting in marketing and promoting our event.

Bonus steps in the process would also include:

  • Recommending improvements for future workshops.
What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

  • Understanding of our mission, values and goals
  • Establishment of the event budget
  • Creation of a plan of action

Bonus steps would include:

  • Recommending areas of improvement for future events

Final deliverables should include

  • A budget breakdown and event plan.
