Details

LUCENTARA is exploring the potential of ammolite, a rare and iridescent gemstone, for use in anti-counterfeiting and authentication technologies. The project aims to investigate the unique optical properties of ammolite, such as its color-shifting capabilities and light refraction characteristics. By understanding these properties, the project seeks to determine how ammolite can be integrated into secure authentication systems. The learners will conduct a series of experiments to analyze the optical behavior of ammolite under various conditions. This project provides an opportunity for students to apply their knowledge of optics and materials science to a real-world application, enhancing their understanding of gemstone properties and their technological applications.

Deliverables

The project deliverables include a comprehensive report detailing the optical properties of ammolite and their potential applications in authentication technologies. Additionally, the team will create a presentation summarizing their findings and propose potential methods for integrating ammolite into anti-counterfeiting systems. The deliverables will also include a set of experimental data and analysis results, providing a foundation for further research and development.
