The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the operations team to brainstorm new product ideas, analyzing how to increase efficiency and improve product quality, working at the operations for making candles and packing orders, and taking on any ad-hoc operations such as event organization or product delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the operations team to brainstorm new product ideas that align with the company's vision and goals.
- Analyze current operations processes and identify areas for improvement to increase efficiency and improve product quality.
- Work at the operations for making candles and packing orders, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Take on any ad-hoc operations tasks as required, such as event organization or product delivery.
- Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues that may arise during the production process and propose solutions to improve operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that all equipment and tools are properly stored and maintained.
- Assist with inventory management, including tracking and monitoring stock levels and reporting any discrepancies to the operations manager.
- Provide training and resources: Take the time to train them on the tools and software they will be using and provide access to relevant resources and documents.
- Regular check-ins: Schedule regular check-ins with them to provide feedback, answer questions, and ensure they are on track with their tasks. This can also be an opportunity to provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
- Assign a mentor or supervisor: Assigning a mentor or supervisor who can provide guidance and support to them can be valuable. The mentor can offer advice and help the intern navigate any challenges they may encounter.
- Encourage feedback and growth: Encourage them to ask questions, provide feedback, and take on new challenges. Provide them with opportunities to learn and grow, and offer constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
