Details

Though this project, students will collaborate to create a high-end video editing machine that can be integrated into our existing hockey analytic tracking software to produce both a manual and automated video editing software based on time-stamped events.

The technology will provide the infrastructure to connect 'clean' video with time-stamp performance events within our front-end user interface.

The main goal of this project is to produce the ability for autonomous video editing based on tracked time-stamped events.

For example, 3 events tracked would be a Face-off at 2:10, a Shot at 2:25, a Goal at 2:47. The video technology would edit the video to start at 2:08 and end at 2:49.

Additionally, the database infrastructure will allow the recall to video time based on time-stamp event calls.

For example, a user 'calls on/clicks' the goal at 2:47, the video would pop up for 2:30-2:49.

Students understanding and ability to do this would be based on database and video technical descriptions of development
