Details

In this project, we aim to create impactful learning experiences about black culture and living a life filled inspiration and joy through the realm of innovative and magical card decks. The aim is to provide an easy, digestible, fun, and visually stimulating way for community members to consume information.

Deliverables

The project will focus on creating two collections of 52 cards per deck using beautiful vibrant imagery on one side and informative text on the other side. The first collection will feature Black Canadian history makers. The second collection will highlight the Adinkra symbols. Students will need to format and design the cards size 2.75” x 4.75” and size 3.50 x 5.00” with images and text, front and back. The card box will also need to be designed.

Mentorship

I will make myself available for questions, concerns, suggestions, ideas, feedback, and guidance.  I will provide support with the Black Canadian history makers and the adinkra symbols plus resources for research.
