Details
  • Market Analysis and Product Positioning: Students will be tasked with analyzing a specific market segment to identify key trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape. By the end of the project, they should be able to present a comprehensive market analysis report, offering insights into potential opportunities for product positioning or service improvements.

  • Development of a Marketing Strategy: Based on the market analysis, students will develop a marketing strategy for a product or service. This will involve creating targeted marketing campaigns, choosing appropriate channels for promotion (social media, email marketing, etc.), and setting measurable objectives. The expected outcome is a detailed marketing plan, ready for implementation.

  • Sales Plan and Execution: Students will create a sales plan, which includes identifying target customer segments, setting sales goals, and outlining strategies for lead generation and conversion. By the end of the project, they should have not only a theoretical sales plan but also some practical experience in implementing aspects of this plan, such as customer outreach or negotiation.

  • Business Development Initiative: This aspect of the project will focus on long-term growth opportunities. Students might be involved in proposing new product/service lines. The expected outcome is a strategic business development proposal with a clear roadmap for implementation.

  • Performance Metrics and Analysis: Throughout the project, students will be required to track and analyze various performance metrics relevant to sales, marketing, and business development. By the end, they should be able to present a comprehensive analysis of what strategies worked, what didn’t, and provide recommendations for future initiatives.

  • Final Presentation: The culmination of the internship project will be a final presentation to the leadership team, showcasing their findings, strategies developed, and the results achieved. This will not only demonstrate their practical skills but also their ability to communicate effectively and persuasively.

  • This project will offer students hands-on experience in the fields of sales, marketing, and business development, enabling them to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting and develop essential professional skills.

Outcomes students are expected to achieve the end of the project:

  • Final presentation detailing findings and recommendations going forward
  • Submitted a document that summarizes what they've achieved, including their output, findings, and recommendations

  • Market Research: Conduct thorough research to understand the market dynamics, customer preferences, and competitor strategies.

  • Strategy Development: Develop a marketing strategy that includes defining target audiences, selecting appropriate channels, and crafting key messages.

  • Sales Planning: Create a detailed sales plan, identifying target customer segments, setting sales goals, and planning tactics for lead generation and conversion.

  • Business Development Research: Explore opportunities for new business partnerships, market expansion, or new product/service development.

  • Relatedly the student may be involved in re-conceptualizing how we present our company to the market via our website, social media, and other collateral, and may be asked to help design, implement and conceptualize that material to improve sales.

  • Campaign Execution: Implement marketing campaigns, manage social media presence, and engage in direct customer outreach.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of sales and marketing strategies, and prepare reports on findings and recommendations.

  • Presentation Preparation: Compile all findings, strategies, and results into a comprehensive presentation for the company's leadership team.

Each of these tasks is designed to provide practical experience in the core areas of sales, marketing, and business development, while also developing analytical, strategic, and communication skills.
