Number of individual students required: 2 Students

Our team is looking for a social media marketing wizard who can help us drive more traffic and improve our SEO positioning. The primary project requirements include:

  1. Keyword analysis to determine relevant search terms to our organization
  2. A strategy document to outline:
  • Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) requirements to ensure our organization appears on the first page of Google for relevant keywords
  1. Blog Content Creation and Blog Content Calendar Execution: to drive traffic to the website, To educate Parents and Educators about resources available, and to rank in search engines
  2. Creating engaging content for an e-commerce blog with backlinks, internal links, and main keywords.
  • Social media requirements to increase the number of followers/likes and share
  1. Content Creation Calendar Execution: deployment of all our social media content to drive maximum traffic to our site
  2. Creating engaging content for African-centered e-commerce Shopify website selling children's books for parents, educators, caregivers, and young readers interested in more diverse books.
  3. Working with tools and programs such as Hootsuite

We’re excited to work with students who can help us not only brainstorm but also create content and execute a strategy to achieve:

  • To boost presence in relevant online search results, to gain more traffic, leads, and sales revenue.

This is a great project for students to prove their digital marketing expertise to future employers, as the impact of their work on this project can be easily measured and communicated.

Knowledge Bookstore is an independent Afrocentric bookstore located in Brampton Ontario that sells African Canadian, African American, Caribbean, and Children's books. We also offer Black dolls, greeting cards, DVDs, beauty products, and gift items not readily available in mainstream stores. Knowledge Bookstore is a community space as well as the go to source for parents, writers, poets, artists, and the Black community.
