Part 1 - Customer Segmentation - Analyze the customers using STP approach ( or similar) to identify the most appropriate base like geographical, behavioural, contextual etc. Enlist key influences on our target customers and how our company can make changes to encourage sales. We will then move to 4P analysis once the segmentation has been carried out.
Part 2 - Competitor Research - We wish to understand who our competition is and understanding their strengths and weaknesses, in comparison to your organization. This can be achieved by SWOT analysis or secondary research methodologies such as look at competitor’s market dominance, sales, structure and so on. We look for ideas that makes us stand out.
Part 3 Product Research - Niche - As a smaller firm we would like to establish the niche to compete with the larger firms once the niche is identified. Working with our marketing experts students to make a report to identify the niche to target which will formulate the go to market strategy.
