"We help Ontario non-profits improve their visibility by building video-driven websites that reduce confusion and encourage engagement."

Historically, our business has served a wide range of industries and has relied primarily on word of mouth for lead generation. In 2023, we are committed to focusing on our 2 largest verticals: Luxury ecommerce, and nonprofits.

With your help, we hope to refine our service offering for nonprofits by learning about their expectations and behaviors.

This will involve several different steps for the selected student, including:

  • Researching the target market in Ontario including prospect data such as funding sources, number of employees, mission, and vision.
  • Completing a Market Map to outline potential prospects, strategic partners, content publishers, and competitors.
  • Creating a survey based on the prospect data above to be distributed by our company through customer development interviews.
Deliverables

By the end of the project, the student should complete the following list of activities:

  • Interview our leadership to develop an understanding our our services and ideal customer.
  • Research our target market and complete a Market Map.
  • Create a survey based on the the captured prospect data to help our leadership conduct focused Customer Development Interviews.

Final deliverables should include

  • A completed Market Map, with prioritized and categorized prospects.
  • A templated survey that our leadership can take into Customer Development Interviews.
  • A presentation to the project manager explaining the rationale behind all choices made in the creation of the Market Map and survey.
Mentorship

Students will connect directly with our leadership for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

  • Who are our known competitors in this niche? What products/services do they provide that are similar to ours?
  • What research has been conducted so far?
  • Who are our existing allies within this space?
  • Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.

The project will commence with an open conversation with our leadership to answer any of the student's initial questions and set expectations for the project.
