Overview
Learner goals and capabilities

Are you seeking to enhance your organization and take it to the next level? Consider engaging Salem State University learners as your learner-consultants in a project-based experience. Throughout the semester, learners will collaborate with you virtually as needed to work on a main project.

The program is designed for primarily Junior and Senior students who have studied Management and taken multiple management-related courses. As such, they are capable of engaging in a project that may benefit your organization as well as the learners' education.

While engaging in the project and taking the international business class, learners will have the opportunity to enhance their knowledge and gain hands-on experience in the fields of international trade and global business environments.

Expected outcomes and deliverables

Deliverables are negotiable and will aim to meet the needs of both learners and the organization.

Some final project deliverables may include:

  1. A 10-15 minute presentation of key findings and recommendations, preferably recorded by a representative or the entire team with PPT slides.
  2. A detailed report containing research, analysis, insights, and recommendations.

Project Examples

Groups of 4-5 learners will collaborate with your company to identify its needs and provide actionable recommendations based on in-depth research and analysis.

Project activities and areas of interest that learners can complete may include, but are not limited to: the cultural environment of global business; management of the global network; human resources and relations; international marketing; international economics, trade; the multinational enterprise.

Additional company criteria

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

Provide a dedicated contact person who is available for weekly/bi-weekly drop-ins to address learners’ questions as well as periodic messages over the duration of the project.
