Project Examples

The students in this large first-year psychology course explore a wide range of topics in psychological science, including human development, social psychology, and mental health, wellness, and treatment.

As it is a very large (~1500-person) class, the students in the course represent a diverse array of backgrounds, skills, and areas of expertise. Students can produce a number of deliverables, including visual displays, advertisements, videos, brochures, and outreach materials.

The large class also provides an opportunity for your organization to build awareness on campus and attract future donors and volunteers.

Although all students in the course will participate in this project, only a small number of finalists will be advanced to the community partner.

Organizations that could be a good fit include, but are not limited to:

  • The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health
  • Toronto-area hospitals and research institutes
  • Youth Mental Health Canada
  • Stella's Place
  • Griffin Centre
  • Bell (Let's Talk campaign)
