Students will work on one main project over the course of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools.
Students in this program/course will delve into the fundamentals of information visualization and refine their abilities to communicate data independently and collaboratively. They will utilize Tableau software to create static and interactive data visualizations, and dashboards using data from various sources. The course will cover effective storytelling, visualization analysis, data ethics, and reproducibility.
Deliverables are negotiable, and will seek to align the needs of the students and the organization.
Some final project deliverables might include:
- A 10-15 minute presentation on key findings and recommendations
- A detailed report on analysis of company data, findings, and recommendations
- A dashboard and short report on analysis of company data, findings and recommendations
